What is Neotame E961?

Neotame, CAS# 165450-17-9, is the most potent commercial artificial sweetener, available as white powder with no odor. The sweetness of Neotame is about 7,000 and 13,000 times stronger than sucrose, so the dosage of using in food is much lower than other sweetener. Neotame is widely accepted as safe food additive in many countries with E number E961.
